We are a team of scientists, engineers, and medical doctors united by a shared experience: learning a second language as adults. We understood firsthand the challenges and time commitment required to achieve fluency.
This led us to a breakthrough insight. Rather than accepting the brain's natural decline in language-learning ability with age, we could enhance it using cutting-edge neurotechnology.
We've developed the NeuroLingo Model 1, a revolutionary headset that uses non-invasive brain stimulation to boost neuroplasticity in the brain's language centers, making adult language acquisition faster and more effective. And we're just getting started.

Alec Sheffield is a Ph.D. candidate in neuroscience with expertise in non-invasive brain stimulation and electrophysiology. Alec leads General Neuro's vision, focusing on neuroscience and product development. Alec is using the General Neuro headband to learn Mandarin Chinese.
Luke Knoble
Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Luke Knoble is an ex-Boeing turned Medtech engineer with experience in embedded software. Luke leads the development of our language learning app and integration with the headset. Luke is using the General Neuro headband to learn Russian.
Dr. Joseph Knoble, MD
Chief Medical Advisor
Dr. Knoble was Chief Fellow at Yale Psychiatry. He advises on safety for the Neurolingo System. Joe is using the General Neuro headband to learn Lebanese Arabic.

Chief Operations Officer
William Polsky is a mechanical engineer and veteran of New Haven's startup community. He has a history of innovative design and manages the design and manufacturing of our headset. Will is using the General Neuro headband to learn Italian.
Vanacharla Bhaskara
Software Engineering Intern
Bhaskara holds a Master's in Data Science and brings expertise in machine learning, AI, and mobile app development. He develops our Flutter mobile application and runs ML integration. Bhaskara is using the General Neuro headband to learn esoteric English vocabulary.
Zida Sung
Principal Electrical Engineer
Zida Sung is an electrical engineer with expertise in low-power circuit design. He is responsible for designing the circuit that powers the non-invasive brain stimulation in our headset. Zida is using the General Neuro headband to learn Spanish.
