We are a small team (mostly in Boston), backed by SOSV / HAX, building NeuroLingo, a headband children wear during the reading practice they already do. We have one open role below, and we read every note from people who want to work on it with us.
What we work on
- The headband: its electronics, firmware and industrial design.
- Brain modeling: stimulation optimization algorithms and software integration.
- The software: the app families and tutors use, and this site.
- Pilot programs with schools and tutoring programs.
- Direct to consumer: reaching families through ads and content, and the pre-order and checkout experience.
- Manufacturing, shipping and support for orders.
Beyond reading
Reading comes first: helping children connect letters to sounds. Beyond that, we are researching tES for other language difficulties, like aphasia after a stroke and language loss in dementia. That research is separate, with more complex, personalized neurostimulation montages, and builds on the work we’ve done in NeuroLingo for reading in the brain. Teammates who join now will help forge the future of neurostimulation and language.

Pre-orders are open and first headbands ship in 2027. We need someone to own how families find us and pre-order: ads, content, email, and the path from our site through checkout.
